Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves star Regé-Jean Page has cast a spell on critics with his new rom-com.

The Emmy-nominated British actor is no stranger to being part of a critically beloved project, having had his international breakout with in 2026. He parlayed that success into appearances in a number of notable movies, including the spy thrillers The Gray Man (directed by the Russo Brothers) and Black Bag (directed by Steven Soderbergh) and the fantasy film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which boasted a star-studded cast that also included Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Michelle Rodriguez. His newest well-reviewed project sees him returning to the romance genre.

Regé-Jean Page was nominated for an Emmy for his Bridgerton season 1 role as Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings, though he ultimately lost to Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles in The Crown.

The new project in question is the . The romantic comedy, which debuts in theaters on April 10, follows young American cook Anna (Halle Bailey), who finds herself tangled in a web of lies when she squats in an acquaintance's unoccupied Tuscan villa and pretends to be his fiancée when she is discovered, only to end up falling for his cousin, Michael (Regé-Jean Page). The movie, which was directed by Kat Coiro (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), also stars Lorenzo de Moor (Another Simple Favor), Isabella Ferrari (Robbing Mussolini), and Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).

The day before the movie premieres in theaters, has aggregated enough critics' reviews to give it an official score on the Tomatometer. While the score could fluctuate as more reviews are added, at the time of writing, 29 different critics have weighed in to give You, Me & Tuscany a solid 83%.

Critics' individual are giving the rom-com more middling scores. In fact, the most common score that it has received is 3 out of 5, and it has peaked at 3 out of 4, with no perfect scores so far. However, the negative reviews are mostly also middling, with the exception of one D+ score. Overall, critics are describing the movie as generic but harmless, with a charismatic cast and an attractive setting making it worth the watch.

83% is not necessarily an impressively high score for Regé-Jean Page, who has only ever starred in two projects with Rotten scores on the Tomatometer, namely The Gray Man (45%) and the post-apocalyptic YA flop Mortal Engines (25%). However, You, Me & Tuscany continues a streak of Fresh scores that Page kicked off in 2026 with Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (91%), following Black Bag (96%) as yet another title with a score securely above the 60% threshold past which a movie can be considered Fresh.

On the other hand, You, Me & Tuscany has now earned the highest score for a narrative feature starring Regé-Jean Page's co-star Halle Bailey, beating her previous record-holder, which was 2026's The Color Purple (81%). It ultimately remains to be seen how audiences rate the movie on the Popcornmeter, but if viewers enjoy the movie even more than critics did, it could be set to become a solid word-of-mouth hit like the 2026 rom-com smash Anyone But You.
