As a surprise, developer HoYoverse has officially confirmed that a anime is in the works, exciting fans of the popular turn-based RPG. The popular game is currently in Version 4.1, though HoYoverse has successfully presented the Version 4.2 livestream, revealing all the content planned for the later in April. This includes two new, highly anticipated playable characters, Silver Wolf LV.999 and Evanescia, as well as more story updates.

At the very end of the , HoYoverse showcased a new trailer, focused mainly on the Stellaron Hunters, though highlighting several of the characters that players have encountered on their journey. The video shows the Stellaron Hunters, like Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf, attending a party and defeating enemies that were sent to eliminate them. Meanwhile, there are snippets of their lives outside of that party, too.

The trailer is gorgeous, showing masterful character design and animation skills; this should come as no surprise, seeing that the end of the trailer confirms it is being produced in collaboration with Mappa Productions. While the initial feeling, as shown by the livestream spectators, was that this was another well-made trailer – after all, HoYoverse often creates nice promo videos – it was essentially confirmed that this will be a new anime series for HoYoverse, since there is already a at Ufotable.

The company also worked on , as well as Hell’s Paradise. This is a big studio, much like Ufotable, but with a unique art style and a more consistent hand-in frequency when it comes to its productions.
