The franchise is about to go through a big few years, not least because a sequel has been confirmed as in development by Warner Bros., Avalanche Studios et Al. Couple that with the of the original book series, and if you're a fan, then you should be in for a pretty exciting time.

What exactly the next Hogwarts Legacy game is going to look like is anyone's guess, but rumors continue to swirl that it could take a live service approach. At the same time, those in charge at Warner Bros. have confirmed that it will be directly connected to the show, meaning the story could also be very different next time out.

While nothing beyond that is confirmed, fans continue to gather to say what they'd like to see, and it turns out they are fairly united in their overall goals.

Over on Reddit, one user a post which detailed rumors in which it will supposedly be possible to fly directly from London to Hogwarts (and back) in the next game's open-world, without any loading screens. This would seemingly be done in a magical Anglia-esque car, which obviously brings lore concerns, bearing in mind how much trouble got into when they did it.

The comments underneath were fairly united in the fact that this isn't really a feature that any of them were looking for, and they would much rather the developer refined the existing formula and add highly requested features.

"I don’t care about this. I want classes to actually feel like classes and going out at night to feel like you can get caught. Loved the first game, but you can clearly see they scrapped the classes and sneaking out at night mechanics. Hopefully, they add them to the 2nd game," one comment .

"Why? That car was such an illegal thing, and a specific magical object made during Harry's time. I don't see how you're going to replicate it well into this era/story," another .

A third felt much the same, , "Who wants to free roam London in a HP game? In my opinion, they should focus on making Hogwarts bigger. You can explore the entirety of Hogwarts in 15 minutes... and there's nothing to do in it. They should focus on student & teacher AI and daily schedules too… And let us experience what it's like to be a student in Hogwarts."

At this point, and without much in the way of concrete information, it does seem as though the next game in the Hogwarts Legacy series could be a very different proposition indeed. Let's just hope it improves on the obvious flaws of the last to really deliver the experience that all fans are dreaming of.
