will feature several heroes from the and beyond, with the movie's first full trailer revealing the return of a character who was introduced all the way back in Phase 2. is easily the most unbelievable in MCU history. Sure, Marvel Studios has had some films with incredibly ambitious scopes in the past.
That was the case for the Infinity Saga's last two Avengers movies, Infinity War and Endgame, which featured the MCU's original Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and several other heroes from different corners of the franchise. Where Avengers: Doomsday differs from that is the fact that it uses the multiverse to bring in Fox's original X-Men, with other heroes expected to make surprise appearances.
The has also debuted a lot of heroes in a short time span. Avengers: Doomsday's revealed cast features many of them, though that list was incomplete, as Marvel Studios's President, Kevin Feige, revealed. That was confirmed when Chris Evans was shown to return as Steve Rogers in the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer, with Captain America also revealed to have a baby.
Now, at CinemaCon, where ScreenRant was in attendance, Marvel Studios showed attendees the . The footage included many exciting moments, such as Steve Rogers reuniting with Thor and taking Mjolnir, Shang-Chi and Gambit fighting, Doctor Doom easily stopping Thor, and more. One of those scenes revealed the return of a hero connected to Paul Rudd's Ant-Man.
An Ant-Man Family Character Is Back In Avengers: Doomsday
In Marvel's first Avengers: Doomsday trailer, Ant-Man can be seen kissing his daughter on the forehead in an emotional moment. MCU fans have known Cassie Lang for a long time, as the character debuted as a child all the way back in Phase 2, appearing in 2015's Ant-Man. Back then, she was played by Abby Ryder Fortson.
Cassie was later recast for Avengers: Endgame's time jump, with actress Emma Fuhrmann taking over the role for a scene where Cassie reunited with Scott years after he disappeared. The role was then recast again, with Supernatural star Kathryn Newton giving life to Cassie in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, where she finally became a superhero with her own suit.
What Cassie Lang's Avengers: Doomsday Return Means For The MCU Movie
The reveal that Cassie is back in Avengers: Doomsday makes a lot of sense, and it teases the debut of another team for the MCU movie. After all, in The Marvels, for the new team she was putting together. In doing so, she also mentioned Ant-Man's daughter, aka Cassie.
Then, in Daredevil: Born Again season 1, Kamala Khan's dad told Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock that his daughter was in California visiting friends. Given how Ant-Man and his family live in San Francisco, the reveal teased Cassie being the Young Avengers' new recruit. If the hero is in Avengers: Doomsday, it is likely that the Young Avengers will finally make their MCU debut.
